Invite your team and set roles
How invites work, what each of the four roles can actually do, and how seats affect your bill.
Add someone
Open the Team page
You need to be an admin or the owner of the workspace to invite people.
Create an invite
Pick the role you want them to have and generate the invite link. Inviting the same person twice reuses the existing invite rather than creating a duplicate.
Send them the link
They can preview what they are joining before accepting, then sign in or create an account and land directly in your workspace.
What each role can do
viewer: read the guides and recordings shared with them. Cannot create or change anything.editor: create, capture, and edit content in the workspace.admin: everything an editor can do, plus manage members, invites, and billing.owner: full control. There is exactly one, and the role cannot be handed over through the API.
Roles are enforced on the server on every request, not merely hidden in the interface. A viewer who crafts the request by hand still gets refused.
Per-item access on top of roles
Roles set the baseline. On top of that you can grant view, edit, or manage on one specific guide, recording, or folder, which is how you give a contractor exactly one runbook without making them an editor of everything.
Grants only ever widen access. They cannot be used to narrow it, so there is no way to accidentally lock an owner out of their own workspace content with a grant.
Seats and billing
Team plans are priced per seat with a two-seat minimum, and seat count syncs automatically as people join and leave. Volume pricing kicks in at 5 and 10 seats. The exact numbers are on the pricing page.
Comments and view analytics are Team-plan features. Everything else described in this article, including workspaces and per-item grants, works on any plan.
