Do I need the extension to use Knovvy?

You need it for guide capture, because recording clicks across any tab or app is something a web page cannot do on its own. Screen and camera video recording, video import, editing, sharing, and export all work in the browser without it.

Does Knovvy work outside Chrome?

The capture extension is a Chrome extension today, so it also works in Chromium-based browsers such as Edge, Brave, and Arc. The Knovvy web app itself works in any modern browser.

Can I use Knovvy without paying?

Yes. The free tier is free forever with no card: 10 guides, 20 minutes of video, on-device captions, public share links, and PDF, HTML, and Markdown export. Videos carry a watermark, and you get three one-time AI trial passes.
